BRIDGET BISHOP PRESENTS: THE SALEM BITCH TRIALS to Open Off-Broadway
Get ready for a twist on history you've never seen before! The off-Broadway Salem Bitch Trials investigates the death of the first "witch" in Salem, all to the tune of Donna Summers. Along the way, these drag queens lose track of what is the play and what is reality. This play touches upon important questions of identity and performance in the LGBTQ community while delivering a captivating performance from some of New York's most prominent drag queens. Thanks in part to a grant from the Araca Project, Salem Bitch Trials will be holding it's New York Premiere on October 18th.
This play features some of New York's biggest drag names -- Brita Filter, Miz Cracker, Monét X Change, and Dusty Ray Bottoms will all be gracing the stage. There will be a pre-show with a traditional drag show, followed by the production. There will be alcoholic beverages available to set the scene as we turn back time.
