59E59 Theaters Announces Americas Off Broadway Line-Up Through 7/3

The critically acclaimed AMERICAS OFF  BROADWAY festival returns this year with a line up of five sensational New York premieres. Presented by 59E59 Theaters (Elysabeth Kleinhans, Artistic Director; Peter Tear, Executive Producer), AMERICAS OFF BROADWAY launched on Wednesday, April 28 and runs through Saturday, July 3. 

AMERICAS OFF BROADWAY returns for its 2nd year at 59E59 Theaters. This intimate festival celebrates the captivating, infuriating, touching and unique experiences that are found in such a diverse culture. AMERICAS OFF BROADWAY features the stories and voices that define our
vast nation.

DE NOVO 

Written and directed by Jeffrey Solomon

Wednesday, April 28 - Sunday, May 15 

Sixteen-year-old Edgar Chocoy pleaded with a U.S. court not to deport him to Guatemala. "If I go back, they'll kill me." This true story, crafted from immigration court transcripts, interviews and letters tells the story of the case that challenged the conscience of a nation.
