Hema Malini is actor and mega star in India. Hema Malini along with her two daughters Esha Deol and Ahan Deol is coming to Norway during the festival. They are the best in Indian classical dance. It will be a memorable experience for many in Norway, when a dance team with 18 people perform at Oslo Concert Hall, 9th september. Hema Malini is well known as Bharatnatyam and Odissi dancer. She is an actress, director and film producer. She has 156 films to her credit. Several dance shows in Europe, UK, Canada and USA. This will be their first appearance in Norway.
Hema Malini was awarded the "Padma Bhushan" in 1999 for her contribution to Indian Cinema. (The Padma Bhushan is the third highest civilian award in the Republic of India)
She is founder of Natya Vihar Kalakendra, an institution dedicated to create, spread and present year-old Indian mythological themes from epics like Ramayana, Mahabharata and other ancient scriptures through the medium of dance.
In 2003 was nominated to Rajya Sabha (Parliament of India), the Committee of External Affairs as an MP. In 2004, actor-turned-politician Hema formally joined the Bhartiya Janata Party (Indian People's Party).

Esha Deol: actress and dancer, she has performed with her sister and mother in many Indian classical dance shows in India and the rest of the world. Has appeared in 28 films since 2002 and many more to come.

Although she refused to film roles, she is very keen in film-making.
