Virginia Rep opens the 2017-18 Hanover Tavern season this winter with Miracle on South Division Street, a heartwarming family comedy by Tom Dudzick. Miracle on South Division Street tells the story of the Nowaks of Buffalo, New York, and the hilarious revelation that shakes their family's beliefs to the core. This heartfelt comedy opens Today, December 1, 2017, at Hanover Tavern, 13181 Hanover Courthouse Road and runs through December 31, 2017.

Firehouse Theatre presents the world premiere of Dory Previn's musical revue MARY C. BROWN AND THE HOLLYWOOD SIGN in a limited run for eight performances from Friday, December 8 thru Saturday, December 16. The cabaret revue is based on Previn's 1972 cult concept album that centers on a would-be starlet's attempt to break into the movies and the misfits she befriends or exploit or shun her. The Firehouse production is directed by George Boyd, with musical direction and arrangements by Matthew Pool and features performers Dan Cimo, Kelsey Cordrey, Nicole Forret Oh, Jessi Johnson, Matt Polson, Stevie Rice, and Emily Skidmore accompanied by Steve Belven, Troy Gatrell, and Starlet Knight.

True to their slogan 'Theatre Beyond Boundaries,' director Lucian Restivo and the personnel at 5th Wall have executed (pun intended) a distinctly immersive theatrical gambit with pulverizing marks. By staging Murder Ballad entirely within the confines of the main room at Club Infuzion in Scott's Addition (as per the original Off-Broadway production's cue to venue selection), the audience is treated to a 360 degree display of four spellbinding actors belting out booming rock tunes whilst weaving around and about the respective patrons' tables and sitting areas.
