Robbie Limon & Friends Benefit Concert Held For Wayside Theatre 4/16
Wayside Theatre Artistic Director Warner Crocker today announced Robbie Limon, who wowed our sold-out audiences in a concert last November and as Hank Williams in Hank Williams Story- Lost Highway and Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story and in Southern Crossroads, will be appearing with his band, in the Robbie Limon and Friends concert for a Benefit performance for Wayside Theatre on Saturday, April 16th at 7:00 PM at the Corron Center, Lord Fairfax Community College, Middletown, VA 22645. The event is sponsored by First Bank, BB & T Bank, United Bank, Virginia National Bank, and Davis Family Dental.
Crocker said "We are in a countdown to our 50th Season. Various events have been played to launch Wayside Theatre into their Golden Anniversary Season. And the most anticipated event is Robbie Limon and Friends concert at Lord Fairfax Community College. It is a 60's Theme Party with great entertainment and food. There will be a reception at 6:00 PM with Hamburgers, Hotdogs, and fries catered by Schaffer Catering of Woodstock. Cash Bar provided for Beer, wine and sodas. The performance is 7-9:30 PM. The cost is $40.00 per person which includes the food and performance."
Byron Brill, Vice-President of the Board of Directors of the Wayside Theatre Foundation, said, "It is so exciting to have Robbie Limon and his friends performing, last November their performance at Wayside Theatre was electrifying and people were up on their feet the whole last hour of their performance. We wanted more people to experience this magical musical event and enjoy Robbie Limon and Friends that we are launching our 50th Anniversary Season with Robbie Limon and Friends event on Saturday, April 16th. The concert will be held in a larger venue, the Corron Center at Lord Fairfax Community College, which can hold approximately 400 people."
The show will feature performances by Richard Parker, Richard Follett and The Chordwood Band (formerly the Rhonda Sager Trio), The Duo of Bill Foster and Rich Burnette, Aaron Mann, Forrest Limon and The Robbie Limon Band.
Tickets are $40.00 per person, general seating in the Corron Center and are available by calling the Box Office (540) 869-1776 to make your reservation for Saturday, April 16th for the 6:00 PM reception and 7:00 -9:30 PM performances.
According to Crocker, "I expect it to be a rousing night of great music, great fun, great laughs and perhaps a few surprises thrown into the mix. We're really looking forward to kicking back and having a great time with some great talent."
Wayside Theatre is the second oldest professional theatre in the Shenandoah Valley and is celebrating its 50th Golden Anniversary season of presenting high quality, professional entertainment beginning June 4,2011 through April 28, 2012.
