Acclaimed Broadway music director and conductor Rob Fisher and Broadway performer Ross Lekites will perform Leonard Bernstein classics at the Virginia Arts Festival Season Announcement next Monday, October 30, at 6 p.m. at the Robin Hixon Theater, Clay & Jay Barr Education Center, 440 Bank Street, Norfolk.

One of the many Festival events to be announced will be Leonard Bernstein at 100, the worldwide celebration of the legendary composer and conductor. In a special preview, Broadway music director, arranger and conductor Rob Fisher and Broadway performer Ross Lekites will share highlights from Leonard Bernstein's Broadway classics. Bernstein created some of Broadway's most indelible hits including West Side Story, Candide, and more.

Rob Fisher is an internationally recognized music director and conductor, and a leading figure in American music and musical theater. He has been a guest of virtually every major orchestra in the U.S. including the New York and Los Angeles Philharmonics. His Broadway resume includes some of the biggest hits of the past three decades, including Chicago, Anything Goes, Hair, An American in Paris, and the 2003 Broadway revival of Wonderful Town.

Ross Lekites can currently be seen in the pre-Broadway production of Disney's Frozen, and has starred in major Broadway productions and national tours including Kinky Boots, West Side Story and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Hailed for his "spellbinding" performance in West Side Story, Lekites "won the hearts of the audience...with captivating vocals, rich with emotion" (Portland Press Herald).
