WAKE UP DAISY! (A MODERN RETELLING OF SLEEPING BEAUTY) - Swedish Cottage Marionette Theatre Non Equity Auditions

City Parks Foundation's Swedish Cottage Marionette Theatre in Central Park will hold auditions for voiceover actors for its upcoming marionette production Wake Up Daisy! – a modern retelling of Sleeping Beauty.

The Swedish Cottage is seeking non-union male and female voiceover actors who can sing, and have the ability to voice different character types and ages. Interested actors must be available for two daytime rehearsals on January 16th and 22nd, and two daytime recording sessions on January 23rd and 24th.

The following voiceover roles will be cast:

• Norman the Doorman – Male in his mid-twenties
• Mitch, Daisy’s Dad – Male in his late twenties/early thirties
• Susan, Daisy’s Mom – Female in her late twenties/early thirties
• Aunt Ada – Middle-aged female firefighter from Brooklyn
• Uncle Bo – Middle-aged male doctor from the Bronx
• Aunt CeCe – Middle-aged female teacher from Queens
• Baby Daisy – Three-year-old female toddler
• Teen Daisy – Thirteen-year-old female
• Tim from Across-the-Way – Adventurous 13-year-old male
• Marisol from Down-the-Hall – Curmudgeon and bitter female in her fifties/sixties
• Talking Unicorn, Sphinx, Lake Monster and Skeleton – Ageless mystical creatures
