The Fall of Heaven - Baltimore Non Equity Auditions

Auditions for"The Fall of Heaven" by Walter Mosley will be held Thursday September 26, at The Arena Playhouse 801 McCullough St., Baltimore, MD., at 7PM (410) 728-6500. Tempest Landry, a wise young man living in Harlem, unexpectedly finds himself at the Pearly Gates. When Saint Peter orders him to hell, the Tempest refuses to go declaring not to be a sinner but a victim of circumstance. A technical loophole forces heaven to send Tempest back to Earth, with an angel in tow, whose primary job is to convince him that he should be in hell and accept his destiny. The resulting battle of wills takes an intriguing look at good versus evil and what it means to be human. We will be looking for 5 performers Two African American Males 30 - 50 years of age One Caucasian Male 30-50 years of age. (Playing Multiple roles) Two African American Females 20 - 45 years of age (May play multiple roles) Auditioners are asked to bring Resume and two contrasting monologues not over 2 minutes in length. Sides will be given for cold readings. This production is scheduled to open November 15. Tentative rehearsal schedule would be Monday Wednesday and Friday from 7 until 9 pm and Saturdays from 9 until 11 am. I look forward to seeing you and please tell others to come out to audition.
