Center Stage Jackson is excited to announce auditions for its dinner theatre production of The Odd Couple - Female Version by Neil Simon, directed by Brynn Arnall, produced by Karen Gerring.
Auditions will be held on two dates: Sunday December 3rd from 4:30pm-7:00pm and Moday December 4th from 6:30pm-9:00pm at Jackson's First Presbyterian Church,
743 W. Michigan Avenue, Jackson, Michigan 49201. Parking and entrance are located at the rear of the church and will be clearly marked. Actors need only attend one audition, and are free to drop by any time within the audition window.
In The Odd Couple - Female Version, Unger and Madison are at it again! Florence Unger and Olive Madison, that is, in Neil Simon's hilarious contemporary comic classic: the female version of The Odd Couple. Instead of the poker party that begins the original version, Ms. Madison has invited the girls over for an evening of Trivial Pursuit. The Pidgeon sisters have been replaced by the two Costazuela brothers. But the hilarity remains the same.
Six dinner theatre performances of The Odd Couple - Female Version will be held at the beautiful Sandhill Crane Vineyards in Jackson at
4724 Walz Rd.
This production calls for 6 females and 2 males, ages eighteen and older.
Actors should prepare a one minute contemporary monologue (sample monologues will also be available at auditions if needed) and will participate in a few improv exercises. All should bring their schedules and be ready to indicate any potential conflicts between January 3 and March 4, 2018.
A read through and delivery of scripts will be held on Monday December 11. Regular rehearsals will start January 3-17 Monday through Wednesday from 7:00pm-9:00pm, and continue January 22-February 15 Monday through Thursday from 6:30pm-9:00pm.
Dinner theatre performances of The Odd Couple - Female Version will be held February 16, 17, 18, February 23, 24, 25 & March 2, 3, 4, 2018. Friday and Saturdaydoors open at 7:00pm, with entrees served at 7:30pm and performance starting at 8:00pm. Sundays doors open at 4:00pm, with entrees served at 4:30pm and performance starting at 5:00pm.
