Seeking the role of 'Avinashi' for a reading of a new musical, character description below. Rehearsals will be on 12/12, 12/13, and 12/14 with a reading to take place on the evening of 12/14, actors will be paid $75 for their time. [AVINASHI] Female-identifying, South Asian, 40-60 (or any age, to play middle age) The mother of all helicopter moms. Elegant, powerful, frightening. Will do just about anything to get her son to come back home, where she shelters him to the point of imprisonment. Also to play Dr. Hammond (a chic, put-together therapist), deadpan grocery store clerk, waiter at a pirate-themed restaurant, and others. Excellent singer with even better clowning abilities. Classical voice training a plus, music theory a plus.
