HELLO, DOLLY! - Great Plains Theatre Non Equity Auditions

The Great Plains Theatre is a small professional theatre located in Abilene, Kansas. GPT seeks to enrich the lives of those living in rural Kansas through high-quality professional theatre! We are seeking actors to fill our Summer Season which includes Legally Blonde, Hello Dolly!, and Bright Star the Musical. While most roles have been filled, we are still seeking two actors to join Hello, Dolly.

DOLLY LEVI [35-60,G3-G5Mezzo-Soprano] Dolly is strong, high-spirited, loves life and has a great deal of charm. She is a widow in her middle years, an opportunist and a meddling matchmaker. She needs a commanding stage presence,but must also show compassion and vulnerability. A wide range of voca labilities will be considered.

CORNELIUS HACKL [25-45,Bb2-F#4Baritone] He is Vandergelder’s chief clerk, charming and naive, but not as naive as Barnaby. Cornelius is energetic, enthusiastic and adventurous, he seeks the company of Irene Molloy. Great singer with comedic timing.
