Auditions Announced for Groundhog Day The Musical in Rhinebeck NY
Up In One Productions Seeks Dynamic Performers for Critically Acclaimed Broadway Hit
Rhinebeck, NY — Up In One Productions is thrilled to announce open auditions for Groundhog Day The Musical, the wildly inventive and heart-filled stage adaptation of the beloved film. Directed by Duane Joseph Olson, this production promises a vibrant, inclusive, and artistically ambitious take on the modern musical comedy classic.
Based on the iconic film starring Bill Murray, Groundhog Day The Musical features a book by Danny Rubin and music and lyrics by Tim Minchin. The show premiered to critical acclaim on both Broadway and the West End, earning multiple Tony and Olivier Award nominations.
Set in the small town of Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, the story follows cynical weatherman Phil Connors as he becomes trapped in a time loop, reliving February 2nd over and over again. As hilarity unfolds, deeper questions of purpose, redemption, and human connection emerge in this inventive and unexpectedly moving theatrical experience.
