Based on the inspirational book “I Never Saw Another Butterfly,” it is set during the liberation of Terezin concentration camp to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the liberation of concentration camps.
The irrepressible power of Art will come alive as audiences witness the passion of a teacher, the creativity of children, and their courage. Austrian artist Friedl Dicker-Brandeis inspired Jewish children in the Terezin concentration camp to make poems and drawings in secret art classes to bring hope and healing into the darkest hours of the holocaust. A young Raja Englanderova remained to keep a promise she made to their teacher save and preserve the drawings and poems of the Terezin children.
