The iconic New York City entertainment venue DON’T TELL MAMA announces the first west coast expansion in its‘ thirty year history. Famed for the “Broadway caliber” performers that staff the front of house, DON’T TELL MAMA LOS ANGELES continues this proud tradition, announcing OPEN CALL AUDITIONS for all front of house performance positions.
Joining the judges panel are Broadway star Marissa Jaret Winokur {Tony Award winning star of Broadway's HAIRSPRAY; Currently starring on the TV Land sitcom, RETIRED AT 35; DANCING WITH THE STARS; FEVER PITCH; SCARY MOVIE; NEVER BEEN KISSED & The Academy Award winning Best Picture, AMERICAN BEAUTY. Ms Winokur also hosted DANCE YOUR ASS OFF, THE TALK & is soon to be seen featured in the film, 40 IS THE NEW DEAD} and noted Los Angeles based Casting Director Bruce Newburg {MAJOR CRIMES, THE CLOSER, BROADWAY AT THE HOLLYWOOD BOWL}. As well,the audition process will be featured live on morning television networks.

Are you in Los Angeles to fulfill your life’s dream? Still have to pay the rent? This will be the job audition that you’ve been praying for.
We are the only job that you will ever have in Los Angeles in which we will encourage you to pursue your dreams, we’ll cheer your success, we’ll make sure that you get to your auditions, and we’ll all support you at your Showcase for casting agents. In fact, we’ll host your showcase! All that, and all we ask is that you arrive with a great attitude, learn a few lines, and help us cover your shifts when you are auditioning. In fact, you can bring the audition to us! We’ll entertain and spoil your guests, while you “perform.”
How will we do it?
We are DON’T TELL MAMA L.A. – the upcoming West Coast branch of the beloved New York City institution (
www.donttellmamanyc). We are looking for talented, performance staff members – bartenders, waiters, hosts, managers, Broadway inclined, classically trained, and the just too-damn-hot to ignore talents that are lurking in this city, waiting for a big break.
Your big break has arrived. We provide a stage, a mic, a nightly audience of industry insiders, and a paycheck. You provide an experience that our guests will talk about tomorrow and remember forever.

West Hollywood, CA
Auditioners will be seen on a FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS, so please ARRIVE EARLY to make sure you get seen!
Please bring 3 copies of your headshot/resume
Please bring 32 bars (aprox 2 minutes) of either a SHOW TUNE, STANDARD or CONTEMPORARY/CLASSIC POP HIT.
Piano accompaniment will be provided, but you must BRING YOUR OWN SHEET MUSIC in the key you wish to sing. NO TRANSPOSITION WILL BE POSSIBLE AT THIS AUDITION.
If you have multiple appropriate audition selections, please choose the one that best shows off your abilities, but bring your book and be prepared to sing others.
Please note:
Your audition WILL BE filmed for live morning network television, so be camera ready!
Auditions will be granted on a first come, first HEARD basis, so please arrive early
If you park on the street, remember to keep your meters fed. There is also a public parking lot a few blocks aways on Kings Rd & Santa Monica Blvd
We will have NO food or beverages available, so plan accordingly
