Performing songs that range from American Standards to classic Broadway, Jazz and Pop, Castay’s show is a tribute to all the “unscripted” moments one inevitably encounters in life. Composers range from Berlin, Arlen, Loesser and Schwartz, to Maltby/Shire, Sondheim, Sting, and Carly Simon, among others. Songs from 4nd Street, Guys and Dolls, Wicked, (as well as a few new surprises) are presented in an often funny, sometimes poignant way. She travels the winding road that took her from her childhood in LaPlace, Louisiana through her many years performing in New York City on and off Broadway (and anywhere in between), to the lives and loves that called her back home to New Orleans again. Castay proudly welcomes Big Easy award-winning musical director Jefferson Turner as her accompanist.
