Photo Flash: FANCY NANCY Begins Today at Rivertown Theaters

Rivertown Theaters for the Performing Arts will continue their commitment to providing productions to showcase and develop the talents of budding local thespians with a delightful production of Fancy Nancy, The Musical based on the popular children's book series today, October 17 - 26, 2014. Fancy Nancy and her friends Bree, Rhonda, Wanda, and Lionel are going to be performing in their very first show, "Deep Sea Dances." Nancy is positive, that's fancy for 100 percent sure, that she and Bree will be picked to be mermaids. When another girl wins the coveted role of the mermaid, Nancy is stuck playing a dreary, dull tree. Can Nancy bring fancy flair to her role, even though it isn't the one she wanted?

Directed by Joel Rainey, the show will feature young performers from around the metro-politan New Orleans area. Starring: Nancy - Tess Fouchi; Bree - Reiley Macicek; Rhonda - Julia Kuchler/Bryce Leonhard * Double Cast; Wanda - Savannah Fouchi/Abigail Rondey *Double Cast; and Lionel - Allen Boudreaux.

The creative team features director/musical director Joel Rainey, choreographer Julieanne Natal and set designer Eric Porter.
