New Orleans Shakespeare Festival at Tulane to Partner with Compleat Stage for Two-Part Experience, 6/18 & 7/7

The New Orleans Shakespeare Festival at Tulane is delighted to announce that it will partner with Compleat Stage to create a unique, two-part artistic experience.

On June 18, 2014, audience members will journey with a group of actors, musicians and internationally acclaimed artist Heather Hansen as she performs one of her kinetic drawings; taking charcoal to canvas in a manner that is best described as part dance, part fine art.Join us for an evening of live music, visual artistry and Shakespeare's words.

On July 7, 2014, with a nod to Elizabethan staging practices, the Festival and Compleat Stage have enlisted some of New Orleans' finest male actors to portray a variety of Shakespeare's most memorable women. Accompanied by music, this is sure to be an illuminating evening.

Both events will be directed by Chaney Tullos and will take place in Tulane's Lupin Theater at 7:30pm. These events are pay-what-you-will and open to the general public, but seating is very limited. Seats can be reserved on the Festival's website: www.neworleansshakespeare.org.

Compleat Stage is a not-for-profit professional performing ensemble that tells stories through innovative shows created by interdisciplinary artistic collaboration: www.compleatstage.org.
