The Jefferson Performing Arts Society (JPAS) will hold auditions for its 2011-2012 Season Friday, Saturday and Sunday, June 10-12, 2011 at the Jefferson Performing Arts Center (EJ High School Auditorium), 400 Phlox Street in Metairie. JPAS seeks singers, dancers and actors ages 17 and up of all ethnicities for their 2011-2012 season productions. AUDITIONS ARE BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.
Auditioners are required submit an audition form, a current headshot and resume PRIOR to their audition via email - To download the audition form and for info on scheduling your audition, visit www.jpas.org and click on the "Audition" slide on the homepage. If you are interested in a particular role, please prepare a 32 bar cut and also be prepared to sing entire song if requested of a song that the character sings and prepare a second contrasting Musical Theatre song of your choice - select sheet music for principle roles will be available for download at the JPAS website beginning Tuesday, May 31 and/or you must bring sheet music for your chosen song in the correct key. An accompanist will be provided. All auditioners are asked to be available on Sunday June 12 for possible callbacks and dance auditions. Vocal Callbacks begin at 11:00am and Dance Call begin at 3:00pm at the Jefferson Performing Arts Center.

Please note, Youth auditions for those ages 7-16 will be held at a later date!JPAS will also be reviewing auditions Saturday, June 4, JPAS at City-Wide Auditions at Southern Rep Theatre (3rd Flooor, 365 Canal St.) from noon to 5PM. Actors 18 years and older are asked to prepare 2 contrasting monologues not to exceed 4 minutes and 16 bars a cappella (optional).
