The leaves are changing colour, which can only mean one thing. Tuesday Night Cafe Theatre is back! Just in time for Halloween, we launch our 2014-2015 season withMonster, a solo show by celebrated Canadian theatre-makers Daniel MacIvor and Daniel Brooks. Directors Dilan Nebioglu and Laura Orozco (who also stars) are so excited to bring this piece to life.

The Plot. A mysterious narrator portrays a series of eerily intertwined characters in a vengeful act of performance. His monologues plumb the depths of addiction, violence, parental responsibility, and the search for purpose - however extreme. If you like your theatre pitch-black, TNC's production of Monster is the show for you.

Daniel MacIvor himself performed the first production of Monster, and the show has traditionally been performed by men. Dilan and Laura's decision to cross-cast the title role overlays this already radical piece with another rich layer of nuance.

Monster will run at Tuesday Night Cafe Theatre October 15 - 18 and 22 - 25. Doors will open at 7:30 pm, and performances will start at 8 pm. Tickets are $6 for students/seniors, and $10 general admission.

Tuesday Night Cafe Theatre is located at 3485 Rue McTavish (H3A 0E1), in Morrice Hall on McGill Campus. We are a student-run theatre company affiliated with the English department of McGill University. Located in the unique and intimate theatre space of Morrice Hall, TNC strives to promote the varied talents of McGill's student body and provide an opportunity for students to learn and grow through theatre.
