Segal Center for the Performing Arts Opens GEOMETRY IN VENICE, 1/31
Montreal's Segal Center for the Performing Arts will present Michael Mackenzie's Geometry in Venice from January 31 through February 14, 2010.
Geometry in Venice is inspired by Henry James's novella The Pupil. It tells the story of an aristocratic British family living in Venice towards the end of the nineteenth century. Desperate to keep up appearances they travel to the fashionable salons of Europe, search for a wealthy suitor to marry their daughter and hire an aspiring Canadian writer to educate their sickly genius son. Geometry in Venice is a poignant and timely examination of a family's obsession with wealth and status.
The production will be directed by Chris Abraham and presented by Saputo Inc.
Tickets range from $22 - $40. To purchase tickets and to view a complete performance calendar, visit segalcenter.org or click here.
