The Soap Factory Presents Laura Brown's Open Air Studio Session Image

Rethinking Public Spaces artist, Laura Brown, is hosting her second open air studio session outside of The Soap Factory, inviting the public to screen print with her. Please join us Saturday, August 12th from 12-4pm, and print your own posters of solidarity, encouragement, or protest. While attending the open air studio session participants are invited to view the new outdoor installation by Brown entitled COMING SOON!.

COMING SOON! is made up of screen printed faux "construction signs" installed around the perimeter of the Soap Factory. The shapes and placement of each print allude to common safety signs found in construction zones. In this way the pieces act as artworks hidden in plain sight to activate the exterior and build anticipation for the soon-to-be renovated Soap Factory building.
