A teaching artist brings her passion for theatre into a New York City classroom, as she challenges her students to become actors themselves and produce a play. Pushback from the “toughest class in the school” doesn’t make it easy, but her unwavering belief that the arts can enrich young lives ultimately wins the day.

Marti Gobel brings to life 16 vivid characters – students, principal, custodian and teachers – to relate this uplifting tale of one artist’s passionate quest to leave none of her children behind.
