Milwaukee Repertory Theater's Artistic Director Mark Clements and Managing Director Chad Bauman are pleased to announce that The Rep's sold out Curtain Call Ball on May, 12, 2018  raised a record breaking $700,000.  Co-chaired by Laura and Adam Peck and Mara and Craig Swan, the Curtain Call Ball is The Rep's single largest fundraiser and this year's numbers including over $325,000 raised during the paddle appeal to complete the Stackner Cabaret renovation set an all-time Rep record.

Free Entertainment Returns To The Marcus Center's Peck Pavilion

Live @ Peck Pavilion returns to the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts grounds this summer. The season will run from July 5 through August 25 with each day of the series featuring a different program focus. Optimist Theatre: Shakespeare in the Park returns Peck Pavilion from July 5-21 with their presentation of King Lear featuring local favorite Jim Pickering in the title role. New to Live at Peck this year is Tribute Band Thursday. All events in Peck Pavilion are free and open to the public.

In the end, you may leave Urinetown wondering, as Little Sally does, what kind of a musical is this? Officer Lockstock would have me remind me you that it isn't supposed to be a happy one. It's one full of mixed signals: comedic tropes, untimely death, catchy music, rich vs. poor, hope for tomorrow, and an ultimately uncertain future. It makes you think not only about the baddies who want to regulate our metaphorical toilets, but also the do-gooders who act on righteous principle alone without regard to reality.

Milwaukee Rep's PTI Ensemble Performs LOST GIRL

Milwaukee Repertory Theater presents the World Premiere production of Lost Girl by Kimberly Belflower performed by the 2017/18 Professional Training Institute (PTI) ensemble this July 19-22, 2018 in the Stiemke Studio.  PTI is an advanced actor-training program for students in 8th-12th grade who may have an interest in pursuing a career as a professional theater artist.   The 2017/18 PTI ensemble features sixteen students hailing from fourteen different high schools who received free training from some of the top theater professionals in the world, culminating in this capstone performance  of Lost Girl where they will be employed as paid, professional actors.

A national collaboration with seven of the country's leading children's theaters, JUDY MOODY & STINK: THE MAD, MAD, MAD, MAD TREASURE HUNT finds third grader Judy Moody in a bit of a mood. She's been given a school assignment to create a 'Me' collage, and her know-it-all little brother Stink keeps getting in the way. When the Moody family drops anchor on 'Artichoke' Island for a weekend getaway, they meet Cap'n Weevil with a secret treasure map, launching them on a mad dash across the island in search of gold. Following a nationwide search, the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts (Wilson Center) has named Anna M. Thompson as its Executive Director. Thompson comes to the Wilson Center from the Alys Stephens Performing Arts Center at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), where she served for two-and-a-half years as the Associate Vice President and Executive Director, overseeing a $4.8 million budget and producing and presenting more than 700 performances, residencies, and events annually.
