MARY POPPINS Returns to Historic Redford Theatre Today

Disney's beloved film, MARY POPPINS appears on the big screen today at 2pm and 8pm at the historic Redford Theatre. The 1964 musical film stars Julie Andrews, Dick Van Dyke, David Tomlinson, and Glynis Johns, and is based on the Mary Poppins books series by P. L. Travers.
Julie Andrews won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance as Mary Poppins and the film also won Oscars for Best Film Editing, Original Music Score, Best Song for "Chim Chim Cher-ee" and Best Visual Effects, and received a total of 13 nominations, an unsurpassed record for any other film released by the Walt Disney Studios.
A new film about the Poppins film, starring Tom Hanks as Mr. Walt Disney, will be released in December: Saving Mr. Banks. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2140373/
