Gary Hoey Returns to City Theatre With HO HO HOEY TOUR 2011 11/26

World renowned rock guitarist Gary Hoey will return to the City Theatre with his "Ho Ho Hoey Tour 2011" on Saturday, November 26 at 8:00 p.m.

Gary Hoey's popular "Ho Ho Hoey" series of Christmas CDs and on-air station visits during the holiday season have become an annual staple at hundreds of radio stations nationwide. Moreover, his live interpretation, aptly named "Ho Ho Hoey's Rockin' Holiday Show" continues to grow new fans each year - so much so that Hallmark's musical greeting cards feature two of Gary's "Ho Ho Hoey" classics.

Hoey is also known for his signature versions of covers ("Hocus Pocus," "Lowrider," "Misirlou," etc.) his latest release, Utopia, features 12 all new, all original songs. The album features Hoey's widely recognized guitar skills, while showcasing his growth as a singer and songwriter.

"Utopia's been a long time coming," explains Hoey. "Utopia took over 2 years to make because I wanted time to develop my songs on tour and then bring that to the studio. That is why I started my indie label, Wazoo Music Group, so I could have that creative control over my music and be able to give it to my fans on my own terms."

Hoey has toured North America throughout the year opening shows for Jeff Beck, Styx, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, and Bret Michaels. Additionally, Hoey was Camp Counselor at Rock N Roll Fantasy Camp, a reality TV series filmed and produced by Mark Burnett that aired on VH1 Classic.

With a collection of 17 albums and five top 20 Billboard hits, it's clear to see why Gary Hoey is listed in the top 100 greatest guitar players of all time.
