Florida Repertory Theatre is pleased to announce that Saturday, Feb. 13 is John & Marjorie Madden Day at the Arcade Theatre.

The Maddens have contributed enormously to Florida Rep's Outreach & Education programs over the past 12 years through Madden Charities, and on Feb. 13, Mr. Madden and over forty of his guests will have VIP status for the 2pm matinee of You Can't Take It With You.

A nationally renowned and award-winning developer for more than forty years, Mr. Madden is keen on the theatre arts, education and community redevelopment. Providing invaluable counsel to Florida Rep's managers, John consults frequently with staff and board members on opportunity and growth. The Maddens enjoy residences on Captiva and in Colorado.

"Like any non-profit organization, Florida Rep relies heavily on individual and corporate giving," said Florida Rep founder and Producing Artistic Director, Robert Cacioppo, "and John & Marjorie are chief among them. They have been generous supporters and champions of ours from the very beginning, and I can honestly say that without their support in our early years, Florida Rep's journey would have been a very different one."

Mr. Madden and his guests will enjoy a performance of Kaufman & Hart's Pulitzer Prize Winning comedy, You Can't Take It With You before adjourning to Cacioppo home for a VIP reception with some of Florida Rep's staff, board members and some of the stars of the play.

You Can't Take It With You is sponsored by John & Marjorie Madden and Madeleine Taeni, and plays at Florida Rep through Feb. 26th. Performances are Tues. - Sat. at 8pm, with 2pm matinees on Wed., Sun. & selected Saturdays. For information, visit Florida Rep online at www.floridarep.org, or call the Box Office at 239-332-4488.

Florida Repertory Theatre performs in the Historic Arcade Theatre on Bay Street between Jackson & Hendry with convenient free parking in the Fort Myers River District.
