The Garden Theatre Presents the Voci Dance Production of THE GAMES WE PLAY, 11/6-11/8

By: Oct. 28, 2009

The Garden Theatre presents the Voci Dance production of The Games We Play from November 6-8, 2009, at the Garden Theatre (160 West Plant Street).  Known for charming audiences with their combination of theatricality and physicality, Voci Dance explores the games we all play – on the playground, in relationships, and in life.

Collaborators on this show include Voci Artistic Director Genevieve Bernard, Fashion Designer Kelledy Francis, and Guest Choreographer Elsa Valbuena.

Voci Dance, originally founded as Voci Dance Group in 2000, was a dancer's collective that has transformed itself since its premier at the 2001 Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival.  The Company commissions work by nationally renowned artists and also collaborates with local arts organizations.

Located in the heart of historic downtown Winter Garden on Plant Street, the Garden Theatre is operated by the Winter Garden Heritage Foundation, Inc., a not-for-profit community organization which works to preserve local history and offers cultural theatric experiences unique to West Orange County and the citizens of Winter Garden.  The theatre restoration project, which began in 2003, showcases an atmospheric theatre in a Mediterranean Revival style venue.  The former single screen movie theater hosts live theatre, dance and music, cinema viewings, various community events and educational programs.

For tickets or additional information, contact the Garden Theatre Box Office at 407-877-GRDN (4736) or www.gardentheatre.org. Tickets may also be purchased in person at the Garden Theatre Box Office, located at 160 West Plant Street.
