Symphony of the Americas' 14th Annual Wines of the World Auction & Dinner Gala

By:

The Symphony of the Americas' 14th annual Wines of the World Auction & Dinner Gala will be held on Friday, October 16 at the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina. This event includes the Vintner's Tasting Tour with wines from around the world, silent/live auctions, extensive wine tastings, and dancing, along with a multi-course gourmet dinner prepared by chefs from some of Broward top restaurants.

Wines of the World opens Broward County's social season and benefits the Symphony's educational outreach programs which touch the lives of 20,000 South Florida students each year.

The evening will open with a vintner's tasting tour at 6pm representing every wine region imaginable, scrumptious appetizers, and musical entertainment by the Symphony of the Americas Strings. At 8pm, patrons will move into the main dining room for a five-course feast prepared by celebrity chefs. Angelo Elia, of Casa D'Angelo, prepares the main course and is the Distinguished Chef Honoree this year. He is joined by Chef Werner Seeber of Bova, Chef Oliver Saucy of Café Maxx, Chef Salvatore Annino of Gran Forno, Chef Johnny Vinczencz of Johnny V's, and Chef Timothy Hmay of the Hilton Ft. Lauderdale Marina. Each chef prepares one course from his private menu, surprising and delighting all who attend.

Auction items include fine wines and cigars, catering and restaurant packages, and travel and entertainment packages. You can stock your wine cellar, shop for the holidays, and enjoy a terrific evening with friends of the Symphony. Tickets for Wines of the World are $150, which includes a $50 credit toward your auction purchases. New this year, is a choice for attendees to select the Vintners Tasting tour only for $45 per person, which includes a $20 credit toward their auction purchases. For information and reservations call the Symphony office at 954-545-0088 or visit www.symphonyoftheamericas.org.
