Stand Up Florida! Would like to invite you to come out and Celebrate (Our Day) A Day Of Remembrance in honor of our beloved Hero "Harvey Milk"

Harvey Milk, 1978In tribute and to honor our fallen hero, Stand Up Florida (SUF) will proudly take part in National Harvey Milk Day Of Action. Joining with Equality Across America (EAA) Groups, and Organizations across the country who will hold actions, events and vigils in remembrance of Harvey Milk.
On May 22, 2010. SUF will mark what would have been Harvey Milk's 80th Birthday, by holding a Tribute Dinner and Silent Candlelight Vigil in Harvey Milk's memory. R.I.P. Our Hero, You Remain In Our Thoughts and Hearts. We ask if you cannot attend this event or others to please take a moment of silence.(Harvey Milk left a legacy. He profoundly influenced gay and lesbian politics, and was also a champion of human rights. Milk once said, "...you've got to keep electing gay people...to know there is better hope for tomorrow. Not only for gays, but for blacks, Asians, the disabled, our senior citizens and us. Without hope, we give up. I know you cannot live on hope alone, but without it life is not worth living. You and you and you have got to see that the promise does not fade." His martyrdom is a painful reminder of the length and difficulty of the journey to freedom.)
