Singer/Songwriter Jewel Comes To The Van Wezel 11/4
The Van Wezel said they would have big stars this season and they most definitely delivered. Jewel an American singer-songwriter, guitarist, actress and poet will grace the Van Wezel stage for the very first time on Nov. 4th, 2009 @ 8PM. Tickets may be purchased at the Van Wezel Box Office, by calling (941) 953-3368 or by logging onto www.vanwezel.org.
Jewel is a three time Grammy® Award nominee, she has won an American Music Award and an MTV Video Music Award. She has sold twenty-seven million albums worldwide and almost twenty million in the United States alone including Pieces of You and Perfectly Clear. This spring, Jewel debuted her first-ever independent release, Lullaby, in a partnership with Fisher-Price® and Somerset Entertainment. Lullaby was produced by Jewel and recorded at her home studio in Stephenville, TX. The 15-track album features 10 self-penned songs and a few standards including beautiful renditions of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" and "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star." The acoustic record is reminiscent of Jewel's twelve-time platinum album Pieces of You. "This isn't just a kids' album, it's really a mood album - perfect to relax to at the end of a long day," said Jewel. This will be Jewel's first performance at the Van Wezel. Be one of the first to see her here!
Tickets may be purchased at the Van Wezel Box Office, by calling (941) 953-3368 or logging onto www.vanwezel.org. Set along Sarasota's bayfront, the landmark Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall has been entertaining audiences with a variety of music, dance, theater and comedy for 40 years.
