Raul Carbonell Jr. to Pay Tribute to Hector Lavoe in VIVE LAVOE at Flamingo Theater

By:

Hector Lavoe, one of Puerto Rico's most famous Salsa singers, is reincarnated in Raul Carbonell's body. Singing the famous singer's best songs, Raul Carbonell Jr. brings him back to life in this musical event. On Saturday, June 17, 2017 "Vive Lavoe" showcases at the Flamingo Theater in Miami, Florida. Our very own Betzy Vazquez "La Gatita" from "El Vacilon de La Gatita" 6am-11am on El Nuevo Zol 106.7FM, is conducting an on air giveaway campaign. Tune in to La Gatita for your chance to win tickets to the show.

Raul Carbonell Jr. is an actor, comedian and Salsa singer who has been in the public eye for years following his late father's footsteps, actor Raul Carbonell. He is well known for interpreting various characters on Puerto Rico's TV programs including "Papo Swing", "Israel" a musical fanatic, "Herminio" a Vietnam Vet, among others. He has participated in 19 films, 15 soap operas and over 90 plays. He has been interpreting Hector Lavoe off Broadway on "Who Killed Hector Lavoe?" and in a film titled "The King: The Untold Story of Hector Lavoe" available online.

In "Vive Lavoe", Raul brings back 20 of Lavoe's greatest hits including "Periodico de Ayer" and "Mi Gente" with a live 10 piece band.

Carbonell does not pretend to be an exact replica of Hector Lavoe, but he brings a good representation of his personality on stage. "There's only one Hector Lavoe," says Raul Carbonell Jr.
