Miami City Ballet Announces Dates For Social Events Of The Season

On Saturday, Jan. 28, Miami City Ballet's Annual Gala, will have the distinction of being the first-ever gala event hosted at the highly anticipated Faena Forum, set to open during Art Basel 2016. This exclusive black-tie affair will showcase all 51 MCB dancers in this exquisite and never-before-seen setting. Inspired by the much-anticipated world premiere commissiony of Alexei Ratmansky's The Fairy's Kiss, the gala will transform the new Faena Forum space into a frozen fairytale evening with cocktails, dinner, dancing and surprises.

Four hundred notable Miami, Palm Beach and New York philanthropists, together with community leaders and ballet aficionados will have an unparalleled opportunity to enjoy the architectural wonders of Faena Forum alongside MCB artists and dancers who are seated with table sponsors for dinner, mingle with guests and take to the dance floor to lead the party.

Proceeds from the gala will support Miami City Ballet's work both onstage and in our community, bringing the magic of the live performing arts to people from all walks of life. Tables are priced from $25,000 to $100,000 with single seats available for $2,500.

On Saturday, Dec. 17, back for the third year is MCB's delightful Nutcracker Magic Children's Gala - a fun, family friendly event where children of all ages can come together to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year!

Miami City Ballet and Nutcracker Magic Chairs Tina Carlo and Ana Codina Barlick are pleased to host this magical holiday experience, which begins with a magnificent brunch at the Four Seasons Grand Ballroom. Children will delight in a winter wonderland photo booth and join in on a spectacular DJ-led dance party with their friends!

Immediately following the brunch, guests will attend the 2 pm performance of George Balanchine's The Nutcracker® at the Adrienne Arsht Center, following Marie on her journey through the Land of the Sweets - and seated in the very best seats in the theater. Following the performance, Nutcracker

Nutcracker Magic guests will enjoy prime seating along with an extraordinary backstage experience for all guests participating at the sponsorship levels.
