CELEBRATE DR. SEUSS' 102ND BIRTHDAY
THURSDAY, MARCH 2ND 
AT MIAMI CHILDREN'S MUSEUM
CELEBRITY STORY-TIME READERS, DOOR PRIZES, BOOK GIVEAWAYS AND MORE!
  
            A Seussical time is guaranteed for all as the Miami Children's Museum
commemorates the birthday of one of the world's greatest storytellers. 
Hang on to your hats and watch out for the cat, the Museum is hosting
"Dr. Seuss' 102nd Birthday Celebration" Thursday March 2nd at their
Watson Island location.  There will be games, celebrity story readers, art
projects, giveaways and contests.  The event runs 2 to 6PM and
admission for the whole family is free!


            A 30 foot tall Hat from The Cat in the Hat will decorate
the roof of the Museum inviting all to attend as costumed Dr. Seuss
characters roam everywhere throughout the facility.  Inside games, scavenger
hunts, book giveaways and other contests will delight visitors.  Books
and Books will sponsor a Special Reading Room where many guests and
celebrities will lead continuous story time sessions from a variety of Dr.
Seuss' books.  Many will be read in both English and Spanish.  And
don't forget there's birthday cake too!  
            Sign up and become a member of  MCM and receive admission
to our special "Memberville" area where you can take part in a special
Willams-Sonoma cookie decorating activity, refreshments courtesy of
Starbucks and a Seussical goody bag for kids of all ages. 
            "This is the third year we have hosted this wonderful
event," says Deborah Spiegelman, Executive Director of MCM.  "Learning to
read is so important to a child's early development and Dr. Seuss'
stories have been so important in stimulating our children to read."        
            The Miami Children's Museum will celebrate "Dr. Seuss'
102nd Birthday" on Thursday, March 2nd from 2 to 6 PM.  Admission for this
event is free to the whole family.  The Museum is located at 980
MacArthur Causeway on Watson Island in Miami.   It is open to the general
public seven days a week from 10AM to 6PM.  Regular admission to the
museum is free for MCM members and children under 12 months; non-member
adults and children are $10.  For more information contact the Museum at
