Jose Feliciano Plays Lyric Theatre, 3/10

An Evening with Jose Feliciano is scheduled for March 10th at both 5pm and & 8pm at the Lyric Theatre in Stuart, FL.

With his long string of hits like "Light My Fire," "Che Sera," "Feliz Navidad," "California Dreamin'," "Chico and the Man" and "Rain," Jose Feliciano has influenced popular music for over two generations. Feliciano, the first Latin artist to cross over into the popular music market, has been acclaimed by critics throughout the world. His accolades include six Grammy Awards, Billboard magazine's Lifetime Achievement Award, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the "Artist of the Millennium Award" from Los Premios Globos. Feliciano has won recognition as one of the world's leading guitarists, and his six-string artistry continues to astound audiences today.

The Lyric Theatre seats 500 and has a 22'X30' stage and features whisper-perfect acoustics. It has a balcony, spacious lobby and entrances on two downtown streets. As of October 1997, over $1.5 million in state and local dollars have provided exciting enhancements to the historic theatre, including structural repairs new air conditioning, remodeled and improved backstage and dressing areas, new restrooms and office space.

The Lyric Theatre has been named to the National Register of Historic Places. This grand old theatre represents a colorful history in our community as a central gathering place for young and old alike.
