The Disney Prize Patrol arrived at Bay Street Players in Eustis on Thursday May 19, 2011. Bay Street Players Young People's Theatre was the recipient of a 2011 Disney Helping Kids Shine Grant. By May 23, Walt Disney World Resort will give more than $1.2 million to organizations throughout Central Florida.

The Young People's Theatre was one of 36 application-based grants awarded and is proud to be a 3 time recipient of this grant. YPT students were on stage to perform a musical number from their current production "Disney's Camp Rock" for Mickey Mouse. Cheers and applause greeted the presentation of a $7,000 check to Bonnie Swanson, Executive Director and Amanda Warren, Director of Young People's Theatre. Bonnie Swanson says "We are extremely proud to have our program for young students honored by a Disney Helping Kids Shine Grant and this grant will help expand the program."
