Auditions At Atlantic Dance Theater

ATLANTIC DANCE THEATER TO HOLD AUDITIONS FOR "THE MIXED NUT (CRACKER)" ON SEPT. 6TH 2008
The Atlantic Dance Theater will be holding dance auditions for its second annual production of "The Mixed Nut (Cracker.)" The auditions will take place on Saturday, September 6th between 12:30 and 5:00pm for dancers ages 7 and up at Atlantic Arts Academy located in Jupiter, Florida. "The Mixed Nut (Cracker)" plays December 19 -21 at The Borland Center in Palm Beach Gardens and rehearsals begin on September 19th. The show is a variation of the classic holiday tale of "The Nutcracker." In this modern retelling of the classic story, instead of getting a nutcracker, Clara receives her first pair of pointe shoes which sets her off on a quest to become the best dancer in New York City. On her way she meets a cast of New York characters who try to thwart her dreams. The show contains Hip Hop, Jazz and Tap numbers as well as the traditional ballet.
