Actors' Playhouse At The Miracle Theater Offers 'A Lollipop-Lickin' Good Deal' For THE MARVELOUS WONDERETTES

By: Oct. 12, 2009

Actors' Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre announced today that they will be offering "A Lollipop-Lickin' Good Deal" for weekday performances of the critically-acclaimed hot pop hit 1950's musical comedy, The Marvelous Wonderettes. This cotton-candy flavored, recession-proof deal offers a good old-fashioned buy one ticket, get one free for all Wednesday and Thursday performances during the month of October.

Featuring favorite songs from the ‘50s and ‘60s, The Marvelous Wonderettes, written by Roger Bean, takes you to the 1958 Springfield High School prom where we meet the Wonderettes - Betty Jean, Cindy Lou, Missy and Suzy, four girls with hopes and dreams as big as their crinoline skirts and voices to match! As we learn about their lives and loves over ten years, the girls perform such classic ‘50s and ‘60s songs as "Lollipop," "Dream Lover," "Stupid Cupid," "Lipstick on your Collar," "Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me," "It's My Party," "It's In His Kiss," "Rescue Me," "Respect," and so many more!

The Marvelous Wonderettes, called "as sweet as a strawberry milkshake with whipped cream swirls" by Howard Cohen of the Miami Herald, will be presented Wednesdays through Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. through November 1st.

Tickets for the buy one get one free offer on Wednesday and Thursdays are $40. Friday and Saturday evening performances are $48 and Sunday matinees are $40. To take advantage of the "Lollipop-Lickin' Good Deal" and buy one ticket, get one free, call or visit the box office at 305-444-9293. Seating is limited and offer is valid on new orders only.
