Conductor Karen Durgaryan and the Ballet of Armenia perform fellow Armenian composer Aram Khachaturian’s two most well-known ballets, Gayané and Spartacus. Khachaturian’s sublime music provides the perfect backdrop to a tale of love and betrayal in Gayané, and his thrilling score drives the story of slaves uprising against the Romans in Spartacus. The Ballet Festival is choreographed by the renowned Armen Grigoryan.
