Portland Ovations' 16th Annual Epicurean Auction Benefit Held At Merrill 9/20

Portland Ovations 16th Annual Epicurean Auction Benefit at Merrill Auditorium on Tuesday, September 20th raises money to support the not-for-profit's community based arts programs, Ovations Offstage.

The evening begins at 5:30pm with attendees strolling through Merrill Auditorium enjoying wine and sampling savory dishes from some of Maine's finest restaurants while bidding on silent auction items. Some of the restaurants participating in this years Epicurean Benefit are David's, Azure Café, The Good Table, Grace, The Salt Exchange, The Rooms (Front, Grill and Corner) and many more. In proper fashion, after enjoying scrumptious food and wine the night continues with coffee from Coffee by Design and delectable desserts provided by Dean's Sweets served on the Merrill stage where a live auction gives bidders the chance to be in the spotlight.

A few of the exciting items up for bid in the silent and live auctions include: a luxurious getaway for two to Montreal, tickets to the Boston Red Sox, an autographed Boston Celtics basketball, a Sea Dogs VIP package, numerous pieces of fine art and jewelry, gift certificates for great deals at local businesses, as well as merchandise and ticket packages to many Ovations' events.

This important evening provides support to Ovations Offstage, an integral part of Portland Ovations, which connects our community to the arts. All of the proceeds from this event enables Ovations Offstage to hold free pre-performance lectures by local Maine experts prior to most Ovations' presentations; offer a School-Time Performance Series that connects schools, teachers and students to the performing arts, as well as in-school workshops with artists and artist-educators; offer Masterclasses with visiting artists; study guides and resources for students and educators which are available on the Portland Ovations website.

Early Bird tickets for the 16th Annual Epicurean Auction Benefit are $50 if purchased before Friday, September 9th. Regular prIce Tickets are $60 beginning on September 10th.
