Gracing the Overture Hall stage for the third time, pianist Emanuel Ax returns to perform Strauss’ virtuosic Burleske and Franck’s Symphonic Variations with the Madison Symphony Orchestra and Conductor John DeMain. Dmitry Kabalevsky’s light-hearted Colas Breugnon Overture will deliver a snappy start to the concert and Mahler’s magisterial Symphony No. 4 featuring soprano Alisa Jordheim will elegantly close the program.
