The Glorious Ones, by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, plays the Bartell Theatre July 28th through the 30th.

The production is directed by Meghan Randolph, with music direction by Christopher Powers.

Sex...insolence...oratory...unrequited love...oddity...drama...and that's all before setting foot on the stage! It's the glorious actor's life, and Flaminio Scala lives it every day. As a 16th century commedia dell'arte performer, he improvises at every turn with the help of his faithful troupe of performers. But he can't help wondering: Has his life held any meaning? When he begins to doubt, Scala does what comes naturally; He improvises, taking drastic measures to ensure that his life and work will be remembered.

This award winning, critically acclaimed show is a love letter to anyone who has spent any of their life in the theater.
