Lauded by critics across the nation and adored by an army of fans, The Jayhawks bring their mix of sublime melodies and harmonies with evocative lyrics to the Brown Theatre. Their songs reveal a truly American landscape, one that hearkens back to bands like The Byrds and the ‘60s L.A. music scene.

New album Rainy Day Music signals the next phase of a career that has seen critical acclaim, cult stardom and the release of several seminal country/soul albums, including 1997's Sound of Lies and 2000's beloved Smile, an album The New York Times called "one of the most beautifully ambitious rock records of the year."

The Jayhawks formed in Minneapolis in 1985 and have toured around the country with such groups as Matchbox Twenty and Wilco. They've gained a reputation among critics and fans alike for finely crafted country rock that rewarded both immediate and repeated listening.
