The Palm Springs Cultural Center is pleased to announce its 2026 Spring Gala Fundraiser Concert, starring Broadway favorite Sierra Boggess and featuring a special tribute to Dr. Tom Truhe, who is retiring after twenty years of bringing Broadway’s top talent to the desert.

The gala, presented by Carol Fragen, will take place on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., with cocktails beginning at 6:00 p.m., at the Palm Springs Cultural Center.

“We are thrilled to welcome Sierra Boggess,” said Michael C. Green, Executive Director of the Palm Springs Cultural Center. “We had hoped to present her earlier in the season, but scheduling conflicts made that impossible. When we learned she was available in April, we immediately jumped at the opportunity to bring her to Palm Springs for this very special fundraiser.”

Boggess is an Olivier Award–nominated actress widely regarded as one of Broadway’s most beloved leading ladies. She is best known for her acclaimed portrayal of Christine Daaé in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera. Boggess performed the role on Broadway, in London’s West End, and in the televised 25th Anniversary Concert production. Webber himself praised her performance, famously stating, “She’s the best—the best Christine, certainly.”

Boggess made her Broadway debut as Ariel in Disney’s The Little Mermaid, earning Drama Desk and Drama League nominations as well as the Broadway.com Audience Award for Favorite Female Breakthrough Performance. Her additional Broadway credits include Master Class, It Shoulda Been You, The Phantom of the Opera, School of Rock, and Harmony.

Her Off-Broadway credits include The Goodbye Girl, Harmony, Love, Loss, and What I Wore, and Music in the Air, alongside Kristin Chenoweth as part of New York City Center’s Encores! series. In London’s West End, Boggess appeared as Fantine in Les Misérables and originated the role of Christine Daaé in Love Never Dies, the sequel to The Phantom of the Opera, earning an Olivier Award nomination for her performance.

Most recently, Boggess originated the role of Emma Dawes in the world premiere production of Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil at the Goodman Theatre in Chicago.

Boggess is also an accomplished concert performer, having appeared with the BBC Proms at Royal Albert Hall, Lincoln Center’s American Songbook series (The Lyrics of David Zippel), The New York Pops at Carnegie Hall, Broadway By The Year at Town Hall, and concert productions of Guys and Dolls at Carnegie Hall alongside Patrick Wilson, Megan Mullally, and Nathan Lane, as well as The Secret Garden at Lincoln Center. As a solo artist, she has performed throughout the United States and internationally in Japan, China, Germany, England, and Australia.
