Mooki Entertainment to present world premiere comedy The ABCs by Monica Trausch at The Complex Theatres as part of the Hollywood Fringe Festival. An all female cast of outrageous high school girls bent on getting what they want: total body perfection, like their idols, the Kardashians.

"I was inspired to work on The ABCs because it is a story that confronts the issues of how our social media culture can affect the way young women see themselves," commented James Benno Rosenwald, producer. "I am always interested in creating work that has a positive message and to me the message of finding a way to love yourself and accept yourself, no matter what anyone else thinks, is an important story to put out into the world."

The ABCs will be directed by Sarah Cho and features a stellar cast of female comedians. The ABCs is a new, hilarious play about celebrity culture and how fantasy and imagination and Instagram can take over our lives, especially the lives of teenagers. This world premiere follows Dakota on her quest for unachievable perfection and fantasy fulfilled in a world that tells her that this is possible.

The play explores fantasy and the imagination in the lives of teenage girls. Navigating the realm between childhood and adulthood, teenage girls are forced to give up the trappings of the young, like imaginary friends. They are thrust in a new, technologically unimaginable adult world filled with fantastical idols like the Kardashians. How can we ask teenagers to give up one fantasy for another? What happens when fantasy, imagination, and social media blend? How do teenagers navigate the world today when their "stories" can only be ten-seconds and will literally disappear on apps like Snapchat? The ABCs asks, how do you love yourself if you aren't perfect? How do you find reality in a world of fake friends, fantastic idols, and adults who can't begin to relate?
