The original company of WALKING WITH DINOSAURS - The Arena Spectacular, which has toured North America since July 11, 2007, will play its final engagements at Honda Center in Anaheim, CA September 1 to 5, followed by seven performances at STAPLES Center in downtown Los Angeles, in September 9 to 12.  The show originally played here in 2008 with an unprecedented sold-out run at both venues.  WALKING WITH DINOSAURS - The Arena Spectacular is based on the award-winning BBC Television Series.

When the tour closes at STAPLES Center in September 12, the show will have played to an audience of more than 4.1 million people in the United States, Canada, and Mexico over 1081 performances in 144 cities.   Originally announced for a two-year tour, it will have played almost all of the primary and secondary North American markets twice during its three-years on the road.

WALKING WITH DINOSAURS - The Arena Spectacular is brought to North America by The Creature Production Company, headed by CEO Carmen Pavlovic. Pavlovic said, "The BBC Series was a brilliant blend of special effects, escapism, excitement and information.  Our show brings together all of that, plus something extra - it's live!   In this production, seventeen roaring, snarling "live" dinosaurs mesmerize the audience - and are as awe-inspiring as when they first walked on earth. The dinosaurs are life-size, making the show so immense, it could only fit in arenas. It's a $20 million arena spectacle of unprecedented size and quality, which captivates young and old alike."

"The achievement of the tour is staggering, not just in box office revenue and audience size, but with the invention of a new genre of entertainment, and of what can be achieved on a stage with a combination of science, engineering, technology, and the traditional theatre arts of lighting, scenery, puppetry, and acting. It takes all of these disciplines to make these remarkable creatures come to life in arenas all over the world."

"WALKING WITH DINOSAURS was conceived to create life-sized dinosaurs --making the show so immense, that it could only fit in arenas.  The show is a $20 million spectacle of unprecedented size and quality that travels from town to town in a staggering 25 trucks.  But for now, we have resisted the idea of reducing the size of the production to increase the length of the tour."

Pavlovic continued, "Our next production is KING KONG - LIVE ON STAGE in co-operation with the Merian C. Cooper Estate. We have also announced collaboration with Dreamworks Animation to develop an arena show based on their hugely successful film HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON"

The international demand for the show was so high that The Creature Production Company then built a Second Company to tour Europe, Asia and other territories. Worldwide the show's two companies have played to 6.5 million people and generated over $300 million dollars in overall ticket sales.  It has broken the house record for family shows in almost all of the venues it has played.
