In NoHo this season the Troubies are loose in their new home for the holidays - The Historic El Portal Theatre. The joint will be jumping as the Ovation Award winning, Los Angeles-based Troubadour Theater Company presents How the Princh Stole Christmas, a musical parody directed by the company's Master of Mayhem and Artistic Director Matt Walker.

The Troubies will pay tribute to the Purple One himself as they send-up the Music of Prince while mashing it with the story of How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Dr. Seuss' detestably fiendish hero the Grinch will get a makeover he won't soon forget as he transforms from Green to Purple in the Troubies' seasonal spoof!

You'll get Delirious over the Troubadour Theater Company's latest adventure - a Sign O The Timesskewering of Who-manity's triumph over The Grump. The Controversy starts when The Princh dons Santa's Raspberry Beret, hops in his Little Red Corvette sleigh, and decides "Let's Go Crazy!". Be at The El Portal to feel the Housequake when the Purple Rain of terror is ended and The Princh is heard to say, "I Would Die For You."

The Troubies' annual holiday show has become a tradition in Los Angeles and this will be their 16th in a long line of productions bringing guffaws and groans to the most festive time of the year. In this hilarious takeoff the Troubies' signature blend of theatricality and mayhem will provide laughs aplenty featuring their renowned live musical and comedic style.

From the El Portal Theatre's Jay Irwin and Pegge Forrest: We've admired the Troubies' work at the Falcon for years and are thrilled to host them at El Portal. They have a totally unique way of mixing good clean fun with funked-up craziness that cannot be duplicated - it's like they make happiness! You have to experience the shows live and in person to get the full, zany effect of these highly skilled comedians and musicians. We couldn't be more excited to have them as our holiday show on the newly dedicated Debbie Reynolds Mainstage.
