By:

The Women's Reproductive Assistance Project (WRRAP), Joyce Schorr, President and Founder, has announced the organization will celebrate its 20th Anniversary with a comedy benefit, entitled "Comic's Choice Redux," hosted by Wendy Hammers (Babe II: Pig In The City; All My Children). The event will be presented at The Skirball Cultural Center; 2701 N. Sepulveda Boulevard; Los Angeles, CA 90049 on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 8:00 p.m. (doors open at 7:30 p.m.) Tickets are $75 per person and may be purchased by calling 818-501-4286. For further information, visit the website, www.wrrap.org.

Featured artists scheduled to appear, subject to availability, will include comedians and comediennes, Franklyn Ajaye (National Lampoon's Hot Flashes; Car Wash); John Fugelsang (Politically Incorrect With Bill Maher; America's Funniest Videos); Dana Gould (Emmy Award, The Simpsons); Rich Overton (The Informant; Leverage); Paul Provenza (Northern Exposure; Empty Nest); Carrie Snow (7,000 Sailors Can't Be Wrong; Roseanne) and Suzanne Whang (Material Girl; NYPD Blue). Eric Schwartz (The Bad Boys of Comedy; South Park) will appear as a Special Musical Guest, and Kelly Carlin, daughter of the late comedian, George Carlin, will make a special appearance regaling attendees with a special treat.

"Comic's Choice Redux" is the 13th comedy benefit to raise money for WRRAP, which works with hundreds of clinics across the nation, including Planned Parenthood. Schorr said: "Women who cannot afford a safe and legal abortion are helped by WRRAP's financial grants. The primary purpose for WRRAP's work is for the safety of women, who would otherwise be forced to carry a crisis pregnancy to term, which in their desperation could cause great harm to themselves."
