The Mechanicals Theatre Group, a professional Acting Company in Los Angeles begins rehearsals for a pared down, bare bones, actor-centered telling of one of Shakespeare's most intriguing and enigmatic comedies. In keeping with a play which was written for a celebration, The Mechanicals production will modernize and enliven the party which is Twelfth Night. Our approach will be to let the play surprise us and our audience. "Because at this party, no one is who they appear to be." This production will be directed by Finn Wittrock (Broadway's Death of a Salesman) and Richard Gilbert-Hill (All My Children and Grey's Anatomy)

The performances will take place December 2nd - December 18th (Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 7 p.m.) at the Pico Playhouse in West Los Angeles, located at 10508 W Pico Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90064. Tickets prices are $16 and are on sale at www.mechanicalstheatregroup.com or for $20 at the door. Tickets go on sale November 1st.

The cast will include company members Doug Bilitch (Reinventing Tesla), Emily Clark (Out Of My Head), Emerson Collins (Sordid Lives), Paul Eiding (Wall-E, Up, and Monsters Inc.), Rafael Goldstein, (12 Angry Men), Connor Kelly-Eiding (The Laramie Project) Pat Lentz (Weeds and Desperate Housewives), Sal Neslusan, Lonni Silverman (12 Angry Men), Mouchette van Helsdingen (12 Angry Men), and Peter Wittrock (12 Angry Men)
The cast will also include Christina Lind (All My Children) and Rob Atchinson

Twelfth Night is the 4th and final production of the 2011-2012 Production Season presented by Jacob Harvey and Eric Bilitch, Co-Artistic Directors and Producers of The Mechanicals Theatre Group. The Mechanicals "vow to explore, celebrate, and deepen our understanding of the human experience, and the theatre arts with honesty and a sense of youthful vitality,. We will present socially and culturally relevant work which explores and transcends any and all theatre genres and material. Our goal is to approach our work with an open mind and to challenge our own and our audience's assumptions of theatre and society at large. In this endeavor we will entertain and enlighten ourselves and our community and, in so doing, profoundly affect the world in which we live."
