The Broad Stage Presents Presents Shakespeare's Globe Theatre Players in THE COMEDY OF ERRORS, 11/12

By:

Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, once again the toast of London, is back for its third year at The Broad Stage. This year, The Players will be offering the highly accessible comic romp that is The Bard's The Comedy of Errors, presented by KCRW.

The opening evening features the second annual Feast & Frolic Gala, a costumed extravaganza including a cocktail reception, dinner, entertainment and more. The actors reinvent renaissance touring theatre for the 21st century with Shakespeare's greatest farce.

The small troupe of travelling players based at the Globe breathe new life into Shakespeare's most well-loved plays. This production is set in the early twentieth century by designer Liz Cooke who describes the show as "inspired by Turkish, Greek and Macedonian traditional costume and cultures". Come party like it's 1598 on Saturday, November 12, 2011.
