Shoshana Bean to Sing for The Uganda Project Tonight

By:

Recording artist and Broadway actress Shoshana Bean will sing as part of the UgandaProject fundraiser called Art and Gratitude in Venice, CA on Friday December 9th.

UgandaProject was founded by actor and composer, Griffin Matthews and is run with composer Matt Gould. Together, Griffin and Gould wrote the Harold Adamson and Dean Kay award-winning documentary musical, Witness Uganda, which tells the story of how the non-profit came into existence.

As part of Art and Gratitude, Bean will perform music from Witness Uganda as well as her original music.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to bid on photos of Uganda taken by photographer Andrea Moore. 100% of the proceeds will benefit the education program of UgandaProject.

Previous UgandaProject events have featured performances by Patina Miller (Sister Act), Nick Adams (Priscilla), Leslie Odom Jr. (Smash, Rent), Nicolette Robinson (Perfect Couples), Kristolyn Lloyd (Bold and the Beautiful), and Abigail Spencer (Mad Men).

Tickets are available at http://ugandaproject.com/events/.

UgandaProject is a grass roots nonprofit organization based in LA and NYC. They have successfully provided free education, housing, mentoring and basic needs for a small group of select students living in extreme poverty in Uganda. This year, they graduated two brothers from high school, three University students, and sent two young women to their first year of University. UgandaProject raises money for students in Uganda by hosting concerts, benefits, and art shows with artists and performers in LA and New York. Ugandaproject.com.
